Shaded Golden Ratio
The golden ratio is, roughly and with a little artistic license, about 3:5. On these socks the light-colored stripes are three units wide (one unit = three rounds) and the dark ones are five units wide. Both the light and dark stripes incorporate color bands that are graduated, or shaded, in value. Any five light-to-dark values of the same hue can be used.
