Sevilla Blanket
I am a fan of surface pattern and look for it everywhere. Wallpaper, greetings cards and fabrics create a huge amount of inspiration for my crochet designs, but it is ceramic tiles that probably have me the most enthralled. Needless to say, I felt like a child in a sweet shop when we visited southern Spain, where Moorish rule has historically shaped architecture, agriculture, language and culture.
In Seville, the home of oranges and flamenco dancing, I found so much inspiration for the shapes and colours within this design, which I hope reflects the city’s incredibly rich and vibrant legacy.
