Diagonal sections of lacy diamonds are framed by slashing ridges of garter stitch in this elegant lace stole.

This rectangular stole begins at one corner with three stitches, then increases on each side to create a triangle. The main section is worked on the bias with increases on one side and decreases on the other. To finish the stole, decreases on both sides create the final edge. Instructions are included for modifying the length and width of the stole to your taste.

Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a different yarn weight or needles will affect the size of the finished stole and the amount of yarn needed.
