Sergio
*PATTERN WILL BE AVAILABLE ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2025*
Sometimes you just need a small, simple piece to complete your outfit. Sometimes you just need a little bit of extra warmth instead of a large scarf. And sometimes you just want to enjoy knitting with something unique like fine camel fiber. Sergio ticks all these boxes, giving you a light accessory that can be worn in many stylish ways. This beginner-friendly scarf uses slipped stitches that are then twisted, creating a textured chevron motif on a garter stitch background. It’s simply architectural. And the name? Well, this scarf shares its name with my much-loved ukulele, Sergio.

Construction Notes
The scarf is worked flat widthwise. The foundation of the piece is a garter stitch background, and the chevron motif is created by slipping stitches on the RS to raise them in the fabric and then twisting those same stitches (p1 tbl) on the WS to give a little bit more visual interest to the texture. The pattern includes both written instructions and a chart for the main motif.
