About The Design:
This pattern began as a hat design – Seaside Serenade – in muted sand and sea colors, then grew to include Sea Glass Serenade, Sunset Serenade, and Autumn Serenade!

Adding fingerless mitts for men and women, and mittens for children, rounded out the design.

The slip stitch pattern is an easy way to create the look of a stranded color pattern, without ever needing to carry two yarns.

The samples are all worked in bulky to slightly super bulky weight wool and (natural fiber) wool blend
yarns, for quick knitting. I used a variety of yarns within each hat and mitt – a great way to use up small amounts from your stash!

Materials
Bulky to Super Bulky wt. yarn. An extra 10% was added to allow for knitter differences.

Hat: Approx. 55 / 53 / 72 gr MC, 20 / 18 / 24 gr A, 20 / 18 / 24 gr B, and 11 / 9 / 11 gr C. The hats weigh 94 / 88 / 119 gr. The women’s hat is lighter than the child’s, due to yarn differences (see Notes).

Fingerless Mitts: Approx. 71 / 100 gr MC, 16 / 23 gr A,16 / 23 gr B, and 10 / 11 gr C . The mitts weigh 100 / 137 gr per pair.

Child’s Mittens: Approx. 31 gr MC, 23 gr A, 23 yds B, and7 gr C. The mittens weigh 90 gr per pair.
Each set (hat and mitts or mittens) weighs 184 / 187 / 255 gr.
