Serein
Pronounced suh-ran, Serein is referred to as a fine, light drizzle from a cloudless sky, usually after dusk. The yarn was from a recent trip to Paris and keeping in tune with the weather I experienced then and the rains we’re having here, it seemed only appropriate to use a rain-related word derived from the beautiful French language to name this wrap.
This is a quick knit asymmetric triangular shawl. The idea is to play around with colors freely and randomly creating broad colour blocks, which makes it ideal for using up those leftover yarns.
The border is made by working live stitches on RS and then picking up stitches along the adjoining side.
