Sequence Squares
Want to learn more about sequence knitting? Join the knitalong, hosted by Hands On Knitting Center, starting on January 11, 2022. Each week, we will look at a different form of sequence knitting, experiment with different sequences, knit together for a while, and show off our finished dishcloths. For more information, visit the Hands On Knitting website .
These dishcloths are all knit with a k4, p4 sequence. The yellow one is a one-row sequence; the red one is a serpentine sequence; the blue one is knit on the bias and incorporates increases and decreases. Specific instructions for each dishcloth are included here, as well as general instructions for knitting these three different types of sequences, so that you can go on to design your own sequence fabrics for projects.
These are easy projects--you need to be able to cast on and cast off, knit and purl, increase with a kfb, and decrease with a k2tog or ssk.
