September Scarf
A revised version of this shawl is now available - September Redux. It has it’s own pattern link, but is available here as well. Enjoy!
This simple, yet elegant lace shawl is just right for a little extra warmth in the fall. Doubling as well as a lightweight, decorative scarf, the design itself has a nice symmetrical look with each side being a mirror image of the other. If you’re already a lace knitter, this is something that can easily be knit up within a few days for a quick accessory addition to your wardrobe.
If you’re new to lace however, you need only be comfortable with increasing and decreasing. This shawl is worked from the center out and uses basic increases and decreases, making it a perfect first lace project.
Measurement Approx: 55” x 36” x 36”, 22-1/2” at the center. The ends along the 55” side will curve up slightly when finished. Depending on knitting style, these measurements may vary slightly from shawl to shawl / scarf to scarf.
Yarn in pictures is Knit Picks Shadow, Color: Snorkel 440 Yds, though any lace yarn will work for this pattern.
Instructions are both written out and in chart form.
