These socks open the 15th year of Sock Madness.

Since about SM12 there was a running joke that if I ever design a qualification pattern then it will result in a very calm and easy year for our beloved mods. I guess they seriously needed it after 2020…

Anywho, ‘Senbonzakura’ isn’t actually difficult a pattern, just a tiny bit tricky in sizing.

Techniques used:

• Elastic Crocheted cast-on (explained in pattern)
• twisted stitches
• smocked stitches
• modified Wedge heel
