What you will get

This crescent shawl crochet pattern includes:

  • written instructions in US terms and UK terms to make the sample shown (measuring 210 cm or 83” around the outer edge and 69 cm or 27” in width);
  • crochet charts showing the entire pattern as a wedge that is repeated as many times as you want;
  • an easy read or mobile friendly version for both US terms and UK terms.

About the pattern

This elegant lacy shawl is made up of multiple wedges that create a crescent shape that is easy to wear draped over the shoulders.

It features leaves or petals created by strategically placed decreases and chain spaces and each petal or leaf has vines that are also worked in a lacy pattern, to provide interest from afar.

The shawl is worked from the neckline towards the outer edge, where shaping creates scallops that can be accentuated by blocking.

You can make fewer or more panels for a narrower or wider shawl.

The pattern is perfect for gradient yarns, showing off the gradual changes within the plain fabric.

Skill level - Intermediate: you will be making clusters, eyelets, increases, and you will follow complex pattern repeats.
