These socks were designed as a prize for additional category (hence “Surprise”) of “Sock Challenge Cup” contest.

One sock is worked cuff-down while the other is toe-up. Both have patterned arc-expansion area with modified square heel turn, and toe in pattern.

• invisible circular beginning (detailed instructions are not included)
• modified interlock bind-off
• shadow wraps
• lifted increases
• Judy’s magic cast-on, grafting (optional)

Semki means “sunflower seeds” in Russian and was contributed by Oksana.
