Semillante è un vortice di pieni e vuoti, di acqua e di schiuma. La sua geometria potrebbe intimidire e farvi pensare a chissà quali difficoltà, invece è semplicissimo. Basta usare quattro marcapunti per segnare le linee degli aumenti. Il punto traforato è sempre uguale e non ci sono schemi da memorizzare. Il filato usato è meraviglioso e la sua finezza permette di lavorare dello scialle non solo sui ferri circolari, ma anche sui classici ferri dritti da 40 cm di lunghezza.

Semillante is a vortex of solids and voids, water and foam. Its geometry might be intimidating and suggest you some kind of difficulty, but it is very simple. Just use four stitchmarkers along the increase lines. The lace stitch is always the same and you’ll remember it easily. The yarn used is wonderful and you can work the shawl not only on circular needles, but also with straight 40 cm knitting needles.

Yarn: for my sample I used a lace weight yarn, so I had to put it double to get a fingering weight yarn.

Gauge:22 sts & 30 rows = 4” / 10cm in stochinette stitch
It does not have to be exact as long as you like the drape of your fabric. I recommend a fabric that has movement without the stitches looking too loose or sloppy.
