Third pattern from Strickmich! Club 2018.

Warm, calming and fascinating to watch at the same time – that’s how sunsets are at the Cape of Good Hope, and this is the shawl that channels this feeling! Bright laven- der and green on a light background make the saturated red speckles stand out and are a perfect setup for a simple lace border that is very easy to knit. No charts involved!
A crescent shape knit on the bias is the main part of this shawl, the border is added later. The beauty of this pattern: You can just knit until your yarn is used up. So every little bit of the precious handdyed yarn is put to use, and there is absolutely no danger of running out of yarn in the process. The ideal project to watch a sunset and relax …

Dritte Anleitung aus dem Strickmich! Club 2018.

Warm, beruhigend und zugleich faszinierend anzusehen – so sind Sonnenuntergänge am Kap der Guten Hoffnung, und genau so ist auch dieses Tuch. Helles Violett, zartes Grün und dramatische rote Sprenkel auf hellem Grund bieten die passende Kulisse für einen Bogen aus intensivem Rot in einem einfachen Lacemuster, das sich ganz einfach und ohne Strickschrift arbeiten lässt.
Ein schräg konstruierter Halbkreis bildet den Hauptteil des Tuchs, anschließend wird die Kante gestrickt. Das Schöne daran: Wir arbeiten einfach, bis kein Garn mehr vorhanden ist – so wird jedes Stückchen des wunderschönen handgefärbten Garns perfekt ausgenutzt, und außerdem besteht keine Gefahr, dass wir mit der Wolle nicht auskommen. Also das ideale Projekt, um ganz entspannt der Sonne beim Untergehen zuzusehen …
