Gauge 6 sts and 6 rows in 2” knitted in Stockinette stitch with a sport weight yarn done with larger needle. Note: I am a loose knitter, you may not be. A gauge swatch is a must to see what needle size will work for you to achieve the proper fit.
N O T E: When knitting with Layers yarn cakes, simply start on the outer side of cake and work your way to the end. No need to decide which color or texture comes next.
When knitting from your stash make sure to start with a fingering weight yarn. You can see the photos for guidance as to which yarn comes next or create as you like. Use sport weight yarns for the last 3 color changes and the bottom lace section.
This pattern is part of an e-book with two other Layers cake or use your stash yarn options: Layers Cake Projects
