Seismography is a hat and cowl set using slipped stitches to create a fun and easy colorwork pattern that resembles the graph of an earthquake on a seismogram.

This is a great way to use up scrap yarn as each stripe only uses about 25 yards/9 grams of sport weight yarn. It knits up super fast and is the perfect pattern to have in your library for last-minute gifting needs.

The crown of the hat has a neat design but it also looks very cute with a pompom (especially the kid version). The pattern for “Seismography” is available as full written instructions (3 pages) and includes instructions for all three sizes of the hat, as well as the cowl, in 2 different color patterns.
