The Seeds of Grain mitts have little buds (bobbles) and a leaf-like structure inspired by the Goddess of flowers and grain

This pattern is a special collaboration between 2 dyer friends! Sarah of Dyeing Wishes and Vanessa of Cape May Fiber.
The exclusive kits, including an artisan-made pomegranate progress keeper, will be at Fiber Witch Festival April 12-13. Pattern will be free with each kit too!

A 10% buffer has been added to all yardages/meters

We used two yarns held together;
These yarns are a dyeing collaboration between
Cape May Fiber Co and Dyeing Wishes Yarn Co.
You’ll need
1- 50G skein of Dyeing Wishes Shocking Sock or Cape May Fiber Sock
(75% SW Merino, 25% Nylon, 218 yards / 50G) +

1-20G skein of Dyeing Wishes Sinister Suri or Cape May Fiber Brushed Alpaca Silk
(74% Suri Alpaca, 26% Mulberry Silk, 164 yards / 25G)

Our red mitts are in color Crushed Pomegranate and our cream mitts are in Torch

Needles

  • RIBBING: US Size 4 (3.5mm) dpns or 32” (81 cm) circular needle for magic loop knitting
  • MAIN BODY: US Size 6 (4 mm) dpns or 32” (81 cm) circular needle for magic loop knitting

Notions

  • 3 Stitch markers; 2 in one color and 1 in a different color Stitch holder
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge
20 sts, 30 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch on larger needle after blocking.
22 sts, 32 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in 1x1 Twisted Rib on smaller needles, moderately stretched.
Adjust needle size if necessary, to obtain the correct gauge.
