Seed Furrows Socks
A fresh breath of spring planting in a pretty lace sock. Worked toe-up in three sizes, the furrows are formed with elongated slip stitches and garter rib which stream into the lace “seeds”.
When I was little, my mom would let my sister and me help her plant the vegetable garden. She’d drag a shovel to make the furrow and we’d follow behind, dropping in the seeds. The best part was covering them up (playing in the dirt) and sprinkling them with watering can which usually turned into sprinkling water over each other’s heads.
