Super simple striped wrist warmers in worsted weight yarn. These are cozy, quick, and fun!
Construction details The Second Knit Wrist Warmers are worked flat (back and forth) and then seamed together, leaving an opening for the thumb. The pattern includes a link to a video tutorial of Shaina seaming the hand warmers together.
Skills necessary
- Cast on
- Knit
- Slipping stitches
- Mattress Stitch seaming
Adult Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL)
Finished measurements: 6.5 (7, 7.5, 8, 8.5)”/16.5 (18, 19, 20.5, 21.5) cm hand circumference and 10”/25 cm length.
Measure around the palm of the hand above the thumb to determine size. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size.
Gauge: 18 sts and 36 rows = 4”/10 cm in Garter Stitch using size needle to obtain gauge.
Needles: US 7/4.5 mm needle or size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Yarn: 150-200 total yards worsted weight (CYCA #4) yarn in an assortment of colors.
Sample made with Yarn Snob “A Wondrous Worsted” (100% superwash merino wool, 218 yds /100 g) in the Festival of Lights set of 8 colors, 54 yds/25 g each.
Additional Materials: tapestry needle.
