Seascape socks
We’re happy to present a new version of this beloved pattern by Andrea Yetman! The Seascape socks have been re-knitted using two gorgeous hand-dyed colors of PatricKnits Bis-Sock yarn.
Brownsburg Chatham is simply stunning as the main color, while the speckled Pinky Promess adds a lovely pop of contrast to the final look!
“The Seascape Socks was inspired by a sweater I designed a few years ago; Seascape Pullover. The Seascape Socks share all the same details I love about the sweater. The cuffs are knit in a twisted rib cable pattern with colorwork throughout the entire sock all to mimic a whale’s tail!” - Andrea

The pattern has been revised and improved for its anniversary! We’ve included the written version of the ribbed cuff alongside the original chart to accommodate all knitters. The pattern also includes two complimentary heel options: heel flap and forethought heel!
In addition to the pattern, you will need the following materials to knit Seascape socks:
YARN
PatricKnits BIS-SOCK (75% Merino Superwash and 25% Nylon, 100 g, 400 m / 438 yds)
- MC – Brownsburg Chatham: 100g;
- CC – Pinky Promess: 50g.
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
- 4 double-pointed needles (or long circular needles for knitting magic loop) in size 2.5mm (US #1.5).
- Cable Needle
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
- Waste yarn
SIZE – ADULT ONE SIZE
Length of foot: adjustable.
GAUGE
36sts = 10 cm – 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch
NOTE | The Seascape Socks are knit from the top down with a twisted rib cable pattern on the front of the cuff and an allover Stranded Colorwork pattern. Andrea suggest you use the Forethought Heel for a woman and the Heel Flap for men.
