I was working for the Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp at Indiana University when one day one of my fellow counselors wore a hat like this. After shamelessly starring at his head all day, I decided that not only did I have to have one, but I could make it myself! This hat was born.

The seamed hat is made in three pieces. It is a very quick and easy knit, perfect for waiting rooms or boring meetings.

There is an optional crochet border, which is very simple and any beginner could do. The pattern uses no DPNs or circular needles, making it great for straight knitting lovers!
