Sea Silver Shawl
Beautiful sun shining on the sea ripples – sparkly, shimmery silver. Moss stitch (USA Seed stitch), garter stitch and random shots of silver yarn evoke the beauty of the scene. A warm over-coat wrap for a Winter’s walk or a cosy cool summer’s eve shawl. 3 sizes.
An easy knit for the beginner and yet interesting enough for the experienced knitter who likes to watch the world go by or natter with friends and knit at the same time! You will need to know basic knitting skills and ‘yarn forward’ and ‘yarn over needle’. All techniques are described in detail. Photos are included to help with making the tassels. Clear, line by line instructions in English with British/American terms.
Measurements, (without the tassels), from centre top to lower point;
• Adult 152cm/60in wide 69cm/27in deep.
• Child 104cm/41in wide 46cm/18in deep.
• Toddler 79cm/31in wide 36cm/14in deep.
Materials;
• 4 x 100g balls of Paintbox Simply Chunky Yarn in Misty Grey 303, Champagne White 302 and Seafoam Blue 331. (136m/149yds each ball.) (Most chunky/bulky yarns work well with this pattern, although amounts may vary and please check your tension/gauge – see below).
• 1 x 25g ball King Cole Cosmos Colour 1095 Galactica.
