Scout Cardigan
by Nikol Lohr
Inspired by Scout Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird.
“This classic two-tone cardigan features a mockingbird motif worked in duplicate stitch (or use intarsia if you’re skillful). You can place the birds as shown, omit one, or place them on the breast for a ‘50s flavor. Or you can change the colors and tweak the chart a bit (for example, add an extra stitch on the top of the head for a bluejay or cardinal) for a favorite sports mascot or state bird.”
