I have the best luck pitching sweaters to my daughter when there’s a theme - like this ice cream sweater. Scoop Shop has waffle-cone-textured sleeves, sprinkle bobbles, and the cutest treat buttons I could find. This sweater features a V-neck with a shawl collar; the turnback on the collar is slim so as not to crowd little necks.

Fronts, back and sleeves are worked flat and seamed using raglan construction. Stitches are picked up for the shawl collar and button band, which are worked using German short rows. Instructions are given for placing the buttons on either the left or the right side of the garment.
