Schneeflöckchen Crescent, my fourth design here on ravelry is inspired by a well known german winter-song by Hedwig Haberkern.
It is knitted top-down, the body features snow-flakes and a large snow-crystal, which blends into the border with an abundance of snow-crystals.
A separate file with a photo-tutorial is included only in the paid pattern, which shows a recipe of the optional centered picot-bind-off as used in all samples knit by me.

Materials needed are:

• preferably light fingering weight-yarn or lace, solid or semisolid in white or lighter shades/ pastels, for smaller sizees a total of 100 grs will be sufficient, for a larger shawl or using heavier yarn 300 grs or more will be needed, this shawl is highly adaptable
• yarn needle, scissors
• stitch markers, at least 2
• 3 mm dpns for the start or 3 mm circs and
• 3,5 mm circs for most of the body or needle-size to obtain the look you like

Skills needed:

• textured parts, knits and purls
• basic lace knowledge: yo, k3tog
• twisted stitches: ktbl, ptbl
• slipped stitches
• easy picking up knit stitches from slipped stitches at selvedge/ garter-tab
