This ruana-shaped swatch starts at lower back and is worked in one piece in intarsia. This tutorial is designed to help knitters learn the modular intarsia techniques at a small scale before embarking on a full-scale garment. Depending on the size, this sample should fit a large doll or teddy bear. (The model is an undressed North American Bear Company Humphrey Beargart. When seated, it is about 13 inches/33cm tall from rump to top of head.)

Size is easily scaled up or down, just make the diamonds smaller or larger. Adjust yarn amounts accordingly.
