Scattered Petals is a two-color brioche rib bandana cowl, knit in the round from the bottom up. It features an assigned pooling motif, and contrast color edging. To me, those motifs look like tulips or flower petals. To you, they may be leaves. Let your imagination and colors be your guide! Choose 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn, one of which should be dyed for assigned pooling.

The yarn I used has a pooling color length of about 6”/15 cm; This is shorter than most, and helps create discrete petals with no pooling color. You can adjust your petals for the length of your pooling color (within reason).

Finished measurements for small (large) cowl: Neck 20 (21)”/51 (53) cm, 18 (19)”/46 (48) cm before blocking | Front from neck to point 15 (18)”/38 (46 cm) | Back from neck to bottom 10.5 (11)”/27 (28) cm | Bottom circumference 38 (42)”/97 (107) cm.
