This lovely, square, beaded lace poncho is lightweight and comfortable! It’s not too difficult as lace goes, being a very geometric design. You will need three skeins of MadelinetoshTosh Merino Light, a yummy fingering weight that offers wonderful colors and great stitch definition. I used 1248 6/0 glass beads. You will need a size 13/14 or 11/12 steel crochet for attaching the beads.

This poncho can be worn with the point at the front for a v-neck or with a square neck and the straight part at the bottom front. Both ways are fabulous!

I loved making this sweet poncho! The directions are charted and written out - something for everyone! This will lay flat, which makes it fit everyone. We tried it on many different types and it worked beautifully on them all!

Jan 2015. An error in Row 91 has been found. It has a misplaced opening parenthesis. It should read:
Row 91: Hb, yo, k1, k2tog, yo, k2, (k2tog, … The rest of the row is correct. Chart is also correct. Sorry for any troubles caused by the error. ~Sharon
