A cabled cowl inspired by the Scarborough Spa sweater. A border of garter stitch knitted flat leads into a tube worked in a cabled pattern. At the end, the tube is closed and a garter stitch border with buttonholes finishes the cowl.

All charted stitch patterns are also provided as written instructions.

Yarn: baa ram ewe Titus, shown in Rose Window. 2 skeins.

Needles: 3mm (US 2.5) 100cm (40”) circular needle for magic loop, or DPNs, 3mm (US 2.5) 40cm (16”) circular needle (optional), 2.75mm (US 2) straight needles, spare circular needle 2.75mm (US 2) or smaller.

Size: one size, finished wide, 81cm/32” long when buttoned.

Other supplies: 1 stitch marker, cable needle, 5 buttons 19mm (0.75”) diameter.
