Needles
Needle A, for ribbing: 32-40” / 81-102 cm circular needle (for hem), 16-24” / 40-60 cm circular needle (for neckband), and double-pointed needles (DPNs) or preferred method for small-circumference knitting (for cuffs) Suggested size: US 8 / 5 mm
Needle B, for main fabric: 32-40” / 81-102 cm circular needle (for body), 24” 60 cm circular needle (for yoke), and double-pointed needles (DPNs) or preferred method for small-circumference knitting (for sleeves) Suggested size: US 10.5 / 6.5 mm, or size needed to obtain gauge
Gauge
14 1⁄2 sts and 24 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in st st, on Needle B, after blocking
Sweater is knit in the round from the bottom up, starting with the sleeves. Once the sleeves and body are complete, they are joined together to work a small amount of raglan shaping, then shaping within the lace yoke. It is finished with short rows to raise the back neck, and ribbing.
