This is a very simple Christmas gift bag for machine knitters. It can also easily be adapted to hand knitting. It uses any worsted weight yarn (red, black, white and pink or beige). The finished size is approximately 10” x 15” tall - large enough to stuff with holiday goodies or gifts. The bag is tied with ½” holiday ribbon or you can make an i-cord with pom poms. You will need buttons, beads or studs for the eyes and belt buckle. For optional texture you can add Garter stitch for the hair and Seed stitch (or other texture stitch) for the beard. The mustache is made with fringe.
