Sands of Sight is a top-down constructed shawl featuring two side panels with a simple eyelet design and a center lace mimicking the intricate stone art in the arches at the top of gothic cathedral windows, then finished off with a side-ways worked lace edge.

Materials:
Yarn: 830 yds (760 m) of fingering weight yarn; cotton is best for drape, but wool will give it a beautiful stitch definition.
Sample: Ciruclo Anne (100% cotton) 547 yds (500m)/147g, in 2856 Anil Profundo (2 balls)

Notions: US 3 (3.25mm) 40” circular needle (or needle size required to obtain gauge)
