The pattern includes a chart and written directions for the cowl which is knitted in the round. The lace pattern is fairly simple, you should know how to do basic decreases and yo.

When you purchase the Cowl pattern you will get the Scarf/Shawl pattern as a free bonus!

Cowl is 8 x 36” (20 x 91 cm)
The cowl Is worked in the round using DK or fingering yarn.

DK yarn:

175 Yards 160 meters main color
50 yards 46 meters contrasting color

Size 8 (5.0mm) 29” (74 cm) circular needle.
Size 9 (5.5mm) 29” (74 cm) circular needle for casting on only.

Fingering Yarn:

200 yards (183 meters) main color.
50 yards (46 meters) contrasting color.

Size 6 (4.0 mm) 29” (74 cm) circular needle.
Size 8 (5.0 mm) 29” (74 cm) circular needle for casting on only.

The sample was knit using madelinetosh Tosh DK Violin (mc) and Tosh Merino DK Glazed Pecan (cc).

The last page of the pattern has the chart and the written instructions for those who after casting on want to print only1 page.
