Saluda Sunrise shawl
Things to start with…
This design was inspired by a display of Elfin Tweed yarn at my local yarn shop and the mountain view out the window in the morning. I wanted a large stranded shawl to wrap up in, but one that would be soft enough to fit around my neck comfortably.
This pattern is worked in the round with steek stitches to make the colorwork manageable. The steek is cut and an edging is worked to enclose the cut steek “flap” and to add a bit of stability to the long edges. The short edges are worked in seed stitch with a small I-cord bind off.
