The inspiration for Salisbury comes from a combination of architectural elements. Salisbury pays homage to Zaha Hadid’s “One Thousand Museum” building in Miami, while also drawing on the fluid lines of Lierne vaults, often seen in Gothic architecture to add structural interest.

The design consists of basic knit and purl stitches and features elongated, curved lozenges created by using simple left and right twisted stitches, or mini cables. The ribbing pattern gives added architectural interest to the design. It is worked from end to end. Pattern is both charted and written.
