Salal Shawl
Named for a shrub native to British Columbia, Salal Shawl is a simple shawlette that will add a pop of colour to your wardrobe. Knit sideways with alternating sections of stockinette and eyelets, this meditative one-skein project is just the thing when you don’t want too much to focus on.

YARN
1 skein of Fleece Artist Merino Slim or 400m/437yds of another fingering weight

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
4.5 mm (US 7) 60cm/24” circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge
Darning needle
Blocking wires, mats, and pins (optional)
GAUGE
25 sts and 32 rows = 10cm/4” in stockinette before blocking
22sts and 31 rows =10cm/4” in stockinette after blocking
