Top down circular yoke construction is knit back and forth. Sleeves are picked up from reserved stitches and knit in the round to the cuffs. Separate lacy cherry blossoms are knit and sewn on as appliqués, with button centers. Coat is edged with garter stitch, and i-cord button loops are knit as the edging is knit.
