The Sail-Away Shawl is the perfect place to settle in with a batch of Sincere Sheep Cormo Sport and enjoy the pure pleasure of a beautiful yarn and an artful pattern.

The modular construction here means that you can make a small shawl and find inner peace and joy in a quick project. If you’re craving a larger shawl, you can continue with two more sections to create a big, swooshy wrap with a long tail that sweeps around your shoulders and stays put.

Julia Farwell-Clay has been thinking about shawls and wraps for a long time, and this combination of stripes and angles and asymmetry hits that sweet spot that we really love. The stripes, which can be as orderly as she describes or as random as you please, align and shift in a puzzle that you’ll enjoy figuring out.

Notes
Knit all 3 sections for a grand shawl. Knit just Section 1 for a petite scarf. Both sizes require 2 skeins of each color.
