Welcome to the Lanaphilia MKAL 2022! Our journey throught the zodiac continues with Saggitarius, a half circle shawl with a geometric slipped stitch pattern! The extraordinary bind off is explained in a short video tutorial and the design is suitable for beginner and also for experienced knitters - due to the pattern it is a fun and easy knit.

Size of finished shawl is about 150 cm (60 inches) wide and 70 cm (28 inches) depth.

You will need 3 skeins of fingering weight yarn in 3 colors: 2 skeins in the same color family (i.e. a light and a dark blue) and one contrast color - all colors should have high contrast inbetween!

Please knit a swatch (you will need nearly all of your yardage!) and remind the prewashing of your yarn - sometimes handdyed skeins tend to bleed and it would be a catastrophe when you recognize this after knitting!

Skills needed: Knitting, purling, slipped stiteches, yarn over. Everything else (Icord, Bind off) is explained and there are video tutorials so it is a fun and enjoyable knit!

Herzlich willkommen zum Lanaphilia Mystery KAL 2022 - unsere Reise durch die Sternzeichen setzen wir mit dem Schützen fort, einem halbrunden Tuch mit einem geometrischen Hebemaschenmuster mit einer aussergewöhnlichen Abschlusskante (die in einem Video Tutorial erklärt wird), absolut anfängergeeignet und auch für erfahrene Stricker und Strickerinnen mit genügend Abwechslung, daß es garantiert nicht langweilig wird!

Das fertige Tuch ist etwa 150 cm breit und 70 cm tief.

Du brauchst 3 Stränge Garn in Sockenwollstärke, etwa 360m Lauflänge pro 100g - 2 Farben sollten aus einer Farbfamilie sein (also zum Beispiel ein helles und ein dunkles Blau), die mit einer Kontrastfarbe kombiniert werden.

Bitte stricke eine Maschenprobe (ich hab beim Entwurf fast das komplette Garn verbraucht!) und denk daran, das Garn vorzuwaschen - bei mehrfarbigen Projekten ist es sehr ärgerlich, wenn man am Ende feststellt, daß eine Farbe sehr ausblutet!
