Knit in whisper-light, woolen-spun Loft yarn, the colorful Sagemoor sweater has plenty to entertain the knitter and all the makings of an heirloom piece you will wear again and again. In eight heathery colors, Sagemoor relies on traditional fair isle stranded knitting to create a sweater that’s timeless and easy to personalize. Construction

• This garment is worked from the top down. The back is worked flat, with increases shaping the shoulder slope. The front is picked up from the back and also worked flat, with a steek worked along the center front. The sleeve caps are then picked up from the partial back and fronts, and worked circularly with the body of the pullover. At the underarms, the piece is divided for body and sleeves, and the sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the body is worked to the hem. The sleeves are then completed from the top down.
• A steek is used to create the front opening. The center front steek is secured and then cut open before picking up stitches along the front and back neck edges for the collar. After the collar is worked, the steek is neatly tacked to the WS of the garment, either with yarn or sewing thread.
