Looking for a gender neutral baby blanket to gift to expecting parents? Look no further. This crochet pattern for a gingham baby blanket will be the perfect gift for any parents who are keeping their baby’s gender hush-hush.
This baby blanket was created to be gender neutral, however, you can use any colors you prefer.
I used:
Red Heart Super Saver Brand - Medium (4) Weight
Light Sage (Less than 1 full skein super saver) – Darker green
Aran (White) (1 full skein super saver + minimal amounts of second skein)
Frosty Green (1 full skein super saver + ~1/3 skein) – Lighter green
Finished blanket is approximately 37” by 33”, with my tension.
This pattern is set up to be 15 blocks wide and 13 blocks tall (block = 10 st x 10 rows). You can alter this as you see fit to make a larger or smaller blanket. I prefer to end each row and column on an odd number so that all corners end in white, for example.
You will need to know how to chain, single crochet, carry non-working yarn and slip stitch.
