Bring the spirit of the safari into your crochet with the Safari Vibes Blanket, a fresh mosaic crochet pattern that brings together some of my favorite motifs from popular designs including Baby Safari, Lion and Cub, and Fierce Feline. Rather than featuring a central image—my typical design style—this blanket was inspired by a special request from my husband for something with a more subtle, masculine feel. The result is a geometric design filled with visual texture and safari-inspired details that feels both bold and timeless. Safari Vibes is approachable for newer mosaic crocheters while still offering an engaging and satisfying project for experienced makers.

This listing is for a digital PDF crochet pattern — no physical item will be mailed.

ABOUT MOSAIC CROCHET
Mosaic crochet uses one color per row to create graphic lettering and imagery — no yarn is carried along the back of the work.

This pattern is divided into 5 sections (5 pages each) and is worked from the bottom up. I would suggest using the Knit Companion app (my personal preference as it is brilliant and saves on printer ink and paper), but I have also included layout instructions if you prefer to print out your pages. The written pattern is divided into identical sections as the charts so they can easily be used together. I’ve also included the full chart on one page for those who prefer using Knit Companion without all the page breaks.

Special thanks to Jane Tonnellier, Grace Fey Strain, and Kathy Gleich for testing this pattern.
