Sack Dress
This pattern is listed as a dress, but sweater instructions are included also.
The design is worked flat, from the bottom hem upwards. There is simple armhole, then shoulder shaping and finally neckline shaping. The front is worked like the back, until placing the in-seam pocket. The front shaping is similar to the back shaping. The collar is worked by picking up stitches and working in rib, reducing needle sizes as the collar is completed, the front once again mimics the back.
Finishing is straightfoward with pressing all st-st areas with a warm iron and damp cloth, then joining seams to sew up.
Note: The yardage is a generous estimate based on looking at modern dress patterns that call for 3ply yarn. The pattern calls for 20oz of “Villawool Horizon Crochet”
