This is not your usual baby blanket! It IS soft and cuddly and fits perfectly into a stroller since it does not have extra fabric in the corners! But it is also knit in rich, decidedly untraditional baby colors and the design is not your typical square blanket. It is a modular knit composed of several sizes of mitered squares nested into and next to each other. Some are flipped in different directions to give it a bit of folk art whimsy. Although it looks like a work of heirloom art it is actually easy to knit!!
