Square is worked from bottom up, carrying the unused yarn up the side as necessary (float), border is then added in 2 parts.

• Worsted weight yarn, total 166 yd (151 m); 89 yd (81 m) in Color 1, 77 yd (71 m) in Color 2; Shown: Lion Brand Yarns Wool-Ease, 80% acrylic 20% wool in Brick and Dark Grey Heather
• H -5 mm hook
• Locking stitch markers (3), tapestry needle

Gauge
13 sts and 5.5 rows = 4” (10 cm) in main stitch pattern.
Precise gauge is not needed for this project, but variations will affect yardage and final measurements.
