Russian Hills Shawl
Living in the Bay Area, I’ve discovered many places in a very short time! Russian Hills is a neighborhood in San Francisco, with steep hills, charming side streets and a vibrant, colorful attitude.
The Russian Hills Shawl aims to recreate those hills with careful lace that mimics mountains and sidesteps.
This edging is worked first and goes so quickly because of its visible lace patterning. Later on, we pick up for the body and use garter and stockinette as a blank slate to wear around the body, letting the lace do the talking!
Inside the pattern you will find the Chart and Written Instructions, notes on how to modify the shawl to your yardage and a comprehensive abbreviation list to ensure you don’t get lost in Russian Hills. As always, the pattern has been tested and through the eyes of a technical editor.
