Say ‘hello’ to the Rugby Hood! A cozy statement-making topper designed for chilly days. This charmer features the classic rugby stripes that we all know and love, making it both timeless and eye-catching. Designed for one and all, it layers effortlessly with coats, jackets, or sweaters for that extra dose of warmth and style.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Small: 11.5” / 29 cm wide x 18.5” / 47 cm tall
Large: 13” / 33 cm wide x 18.5” / 47 cm tall

To fit an average teen/adult head. Sizing is based on the width of the base and hood size. The larger size makes a slightly roomier neck and fuller hood. Both samples photographed are size large.

YARN

DK and laceweight yarn in two colors (A and B) held together throughout to equal worsted-weight:

Sample shown in Plucky Knitter Beau DK (60% yak, 40% cashmere; 300 yds / 274 m per 100 g) held together with Plucky Knitter Plume Lace (74% baby suri alpaca, 26% silk; 328 yds / 300 m per 50 g) AND Plucky Knitter Yakkity DK (100% yak; 325 yds / 297 m per 100 g) held together with Plucky Knitter Plume Lace

A: 260 yds / 238 m Yakkity DK in color Peppercorn held together with 220 yds / 201 m Plume Lace in color Fleece

B: 180 yds / 165 m Beau DK in color Penny Candy held together with 150 yds / 137 m Plume Lace in color Penny Candy

Or 260 yds / 238 m (color A) and 180 yds / 165 m (color B) of the worsted-weight yarn of your choice

Optional: I-cord in a contrasting color uses approx. 30 yds / 27 m of a worsted-weight yarn or its equivalent. Shown here in color Mitzi.

Get scrappy! Sarah’s hood uses Beau DK held together with Plume Lace in four colors: stripes in Pop Collar, Row, and Lake Effect, with an i-cord tie in Hunter’s Safety.
