This 18” doll sweater can be knit as a cardigan with shorter sleeves and a shorter body length. Or it can be knit as a jacket with longer sleeves, a longer body length and a button or two. If in doubt, make both. It looks cute both ways.

Both the cardigan and the jacket are knit from the bottom up in one piece then divided at the armholes to work the fronts and back. The sleeves are worked by picking up the stitches in the armhole. Double-pointed needles are used on the sleeves.
