There are those rainy days, when the best thing you could have is warm and cozy socks. on your feet and on your needles too.

These socks are knitted toe-up completely in entrelac – toe and heel and all, with a little trick to make the heel comfortable without disturbing the design. They have simple yet elegant and stretchy edging, that looks like a crown and gives you that little bit of good feeling about yourself.

I would not suggest this pattern as your first try of entrelac knitting. That’s why I will not give too detailed instructions how to knit entrelac, but will assume you know how to do the basic entrelac on the round. however - even beginners have been successful with this pattern.

I used yarn with long and gradient color repeats so that the color changes would be pretty, but not harsh. they look beautiful also knitted with solid yarn. If you choose the right yarn, they eventually will find a spot in the heart and on the feet of the man in your life.

Although the sample socks are knitted for ladies size 9-10, pattern is highly adaptable for any size of your choice. it contains written instructions and lots of diagrams. If you feel comfortable enough at reading sock architecture and diagrams, you may even knit these socks top-down.
