Rowan's Manos Scarf
If you have a problem downloading this pattern please pm me. Thank you
This is a pattern for a lace (2ply) scarf with optional beads. Exact tension is not vital and you can choose a needle size between 3 - 3.75mm depending on your preference.
It is a chart only pattern but very simple to follow.
You can make the scarf longer by using more than one skein of yarn.
Blocking is important to ‘open out’ the lace pattern.
Beads, if required, are added using the crochet hook method - plenty of videos on www.youtube.com show you how to do this.
Make sure your beads are washable. I get mine from
http://www.debbieabrahamsbeads.co.uk/ - size 8 for 2ply yarn.
You can knit this scarf in any weight yarn and I would probably use size 6 beads for a 4 ply scarf.
Please note that the purple & green scarf has a ruffled edge which is not part of this pattern but the lace/bead section is the same.
