Worked from the top down in a continuous spiral, the cowl starts with a beautiful faux i-cord edge and increases at regular intervals, shaping the cowl to widen gradually to the bottom.
Video Tutorial links are included throughout as well as explanatory photos.

The pattern is written in US crochet terms but uses metric measurements.

Yarn Alternatives
You can replace the kidsilk/mohair yarn with a suri/alpaca yarn or another strand of lace or light fingering yarn.
You should also be able to get the same type of gauge/tension with a single strand of heavy fingering yarn or a sports weight yarn.
